This morning a Sri Lankan family was snatched by immigration from their home in Benwell, Newcastle. They have been active with TCAR standing up for the rights of all against the Home Office. TCAR members mobilised through the Pledge of Resistance to protest against the dawn raid, but regular cops were already on the scene and prevented other members of TCAR from even entering the street. The Cuban Five—Gerardo Hernández, Ramón Labañino, Antonio Guerrero, Fernando González and René González—were prosecuted for defending Cuba from U.S.-backed terrorists. They were arrested in Miami Sept. 12, 1998 by the FBI and charged with espionage conspiracy, murder conspiracy and failure to register as foreign agents—a total of 26 counts... Charter flight to war, rape and torture goes ahead anyway.

The racist Labour government is going ahead with its 'charter flight' to DRCongo depsite evidence that people deported from Britain on a similar flight in February 2007, were raped and tortured. In addition, 1,200 people are dying every day in DRC and 163,000 have fled their homes in eatsern DCC since January 2007. It has also been recently revealed that people deported from Britain to Sri Lanka have also been tortured and killed.
