Cambridge RBS action

ATM users read leaflets and placards At lunchtime on Monday 15 October, around ten activists assembled outside the Royal Bank of Scotland branch on Trinity Street, Cambridge, as part of the national day of action against the UK's main bankroller of carbon emitters. The protesters put up placards next to the ATM, handed out leaflets, and engaged passers-by and customers in discussion.

Successful first test ride for cycling cinema

And we're off... On the night of Tuesday the 24th of July, the Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema had it first test run. Around twenty five pedalistos and well-wishers gathered at the shed behind the Portland Arms in Cambridge and watched a film about the Naked Bike Ride, generating the electricity required to run the sound and projection system by their own pedal power.

Protesters decontaminate the UK's last remaining GM potato trial.

During the night of Friday 6th July, a group of activists converged on Britain's last remaining GM trial site just outside Cambridge. They scaled the security fences and destroyed the crop of genetically modified potatoes.

Two people were arrested yesterday at the GM Potato Protest in between Histon and Girton. They will be appearing at Cambridge Magistrates Court, which is now at 43 Hauxton Road, Trumpington, at 9:30 tomorrow (Tuesday 3rd July) morning.

Menace in the graveyard at the start point Not entirely successful action against genetically modified potato crop. Well the picnic right next to the site was successful but the crop remains intact and is nearly ready for lifting.
