Are Gangsters Forcing Child Slaves to Work Illegally in London?

Extraordinary allegations that child slaves are being smuggled into Britain by gangs of armed robbers who steal Big Issue magazines from the street vendors at knife point, and then force terrified children to sell them on the streets of London are being investigated by the BBC.
The accusations that international criminals involved with people smuggling and child slavery may have been behind the attacks, were made on the Indymedia UK website by readers commenting on a story about the arrest of a young lady on 27 April 2007.

Reclaim Power - 15min film version online

In the summer of 2006, 600 people set up a Camp for Climate Action in the shadow of one of the biggest C02 emitters in Europe: Drax coal-fired power station in Yorkshire / UK. With over one hundred workshops on a wide range of topics, the 10 day camp was a space of collective learning, sustainable living and taking direct action on the root causes of climate change. The gathering that showed practical low energy solutions in action, culminated in a day of protest and mass direct action in an attempt to shut down Drax.

Concerned about Climate Change? Spring Into Action Now! - an audio piece

Folk from around the east midlands gathered in Nottingham for a week of workshops, discussion and action around the issue of climate change. The event was organised under the banner of 'Spring Into Action', and besides a lot of talking, the week ended with some succesful direct action. This is what some of the participants had to say... Polar bear asks the Bradford climate criminals to stop.

A polar bear today visited a number of travel agents, and the Tomas Cook call centre in Bradford, to ask these climate criminals if they would kindly stop destroying his habitat.
