Anti-GM Blockade of Sainsbury's Giant Essex Waltham Point depot.

The giant Waltham Point 'fulfillment factory' by the M25 in Essex. Sainsbury's giant M25 Waltham Point distribution centre in Essex was shut down in a dramatic anti-GM protest on Thursday night (1st July 2004). This was part of a nationwide night of blockades which closed all six of this food retail corporations major distribution centres around the country.

Bayer Feb 11th high court ruling

Today, Bayer AG tried to make permanent a court order against six named individuals and five 'organisations' connected to campaigns against the company.

The high court judge (who has a history of granting injunctions, for example responsible for a recent injunction preventing a tabloid news paper publish some poxy royal dirt story), will give his ruling on Friday 13th.

The interim injuntion, which was granted late last December, will remain effective until the ruling is given on friday.

The injuntion effectively makes previously lawful activities into criminal offences and it seems quite clear that the judge will rule in favor of bayer...

Contributors wanted for GM film

Contributors are being sought for a film about the last six or seven years worth of campaigning against the introduction of genetically modified crops. If you have video footage of demonstrations, protests, office occupations or direct action, please let us know. We are also seeking people who have a specific personal involvement in the campaign in some way and are willing to be interviewed for the film.

Video of Tractors & Trollies

Farmers, campaigners and consumers travelled from all over the UK to converge on London on the 13th October to express their opposition to the governments plans to allow the commerciallisation of genetically modified crops.

In the days running up to the event, 'pilgrims' traveled from as far afield as Wales, Cornwall and Scotland and visited significant 'bio-threat' locations such as Cambridge, Newbury, Weymouth and Oxford.
