Deportation and arrests ahead of Labour Party Conference

A Manchester-based man has been deported and three more people arrested under immigration law already as part of the police operation to protect Brown and Co during their annual party conference in Manchester later this month.

Arrest in Church Street - call for mass stalls next Saturday

The Socialist Party has had a stall in Church Street at that spot for
years. On Saturday 30 August, a police van drew up and ordered us to
move. Tony Aitman refused and they arrested him, put him in the van and
charged him with wilful obstruction. They confiscated our table and
material and told us we could collect them after 5pm that day. They then
let Tony leave the van and told him he would be summonsed. Read more >>

No Borders activities against Labour Party Conference

To coincide with this there will be a demo organised by Stop The War and a counter conference organised by The Convention of the Left. Anti-fascists Prepare to Stop BNP "Festival" in Derbyshire

Between 15th and 17th of August, the fascist British National Party (BNP) is holding its annual Red, White and Blue 'festival' on a farm in Denby, Derbyshire. In previous years this so-called 'family festival' has brought together BNP members and white supremacists from across the world to enjoy Nazi marching songs and drunken glassings. Local campaigners involved in Nottinghamshire Stop the BNP have been mobilising since late last year. The call has subsequently been taken up by Antifa England, Lancaster Unity, Hope Not Hate and Unite Against Fascism among others.
