Norwich Anarchists solidarity hungerstrike update

Solidarity action for the Salonika 7

As we speak there are ten activists hungerstriking in Norwich outside city hall in support of the Salonika 7. Interest in the case has been great from the public. One bloke who hadn't heard about the prisoners was so pissed off with what he read on one of our leaflets and has joined in the 24 hour hungerstrike.

The protest continues until 2morrow at 10am

This was great. For a week we were outside the city hall and handed out well over 3000 leaflets. Lots of folks stopped and talked about the case. Obviously we had the usual smart arses but generally there was positive feedback.

Early this morning barriers were being erected around the protestors and hunger strikers in preparation for the rememberance day parade.
Think one or two people at 10am when the protest ended thought we were there for something else....

Next action will be posted next week...
