Reclaim the Bombs out of Brighton Website

The Bombs out of Brighton website was set up as a means of reporting and publicising local protests of all types against the company. Unfortunately the site is becoming more of a sounding board for pro-EDO types than anti-EDO and anti-arms trade.

Bombs out of Brighton is a group of people in Brighton focusing on removing local arms manufacturer EDO from our city. An awesome action recently taken was recently reported in Indymedia (see  http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2004/05/291990.html)

We need to get more anti-arms trade people and peace activists adding to the comments received on the site and adding their own. So please respond to the news items at least. It would be good to get some activity and debate in the discussion pages (for which you need to sign up - don't use full name). Please join and contribute... Any info anyone has on EDO would be good too.

EDO are looking at this site a lot and it is a good opportunity to wind them up and protest online (though not extreme abuse, threats, incrimination, etc).

You just have to look at the rate of 'hits' or views on the news pages to realise that quite a few people (probably all EDO) look at these news items immediately they're posted. On posting the item on this morning's protest about 100 people looked at it in the first hour or so and I'm pretty sure these were mostly EDO employees.

Please help us make this site more than just a way for EDO to sound off and find out what we're doing locally. It was intended as a resource for US not THEM!
