@lex | 27.10.2004 15:51 | Globalisation | Migration | Social Struggles | London | World

Stranded Diego Garcians get temporary accomodation, at least until a high (low?) court judicial review on Monday.
Todays planned demo in Parliament Sqauare postponed till next week, pending required police permission??? Yeah, right!
Phone number for their spokesman supplied.

Spoke on their phone with the migrants spokesman, Alan. His phone number, if you want to contact him, is 07947 672 049. Basically the migrants (British passport holders) stranded-homeless at Gatwick for the past several weeks have once again been given 'temporary' accomodation, this time at least pending a high (low?) court judicial review of their housing situation on Monday 1st November.
A planned demonstration that was going to happen today in parliament square has been postponed till sometime next week, they will know when it will happen at the high court hearing on Monday.

THINGS TO DO: Come to the high court on Monday to demand housing for the migrants.

Come to parliament square to demand a right to return home for the migrants.

Speak to their spokesman to learn more about current happenings.

Buy me a sailing yacht so we can sail down to Peros Banhos, a fertile paradise full of food and water, unused by the military, from which the 500 islanders were evicted.
