And another banner.
And another banner.

Thre was a cycle ride on Friday evening, the highpoint of which was making a great deal of noise outside Buckingham Palace while the IOC were dining with the Queen.

On Saturday several groups and individuals met at Meridian Square, Stratford and then marched to Hackney Marshes to play games and generally have a good time. It was a bit cold though.

Waking up the IOC

22.02.2005 18:43

On Friday 18th February at 7.30am, about a dozen of people also made their opposition known by hanging banners and making lots of noise outside the hotel the IOC Evaluation Commission was staying. Key London Bid people like Ken Livingstone, Tessa Jowell and Steve Redgrave were heckled as they left or arrived at the hotel. Craig Reedie, the British Olympic Committee chairman, tried unsuccessfully to convince the protesters about the 'environmental benefits' of a London Olympics.
