Libcom.org statement on London bombings

libcom team | 07.07.2005 16:15 | London

A statement from Libcom.org deploring London's terrorist bombings this morning.

As libertarian communists, we at libcom.org deplore the attacks on innocent people this morning in London. We express our deepest sympathy to anyone affected by the blasts. We condemn the use of violence against ordinary people and the perpetrators of the violence whether they be Islamists or anyone else. We believe their ideology and actions are at total odds with our aims and beliefs and will never help oppressed people in any part of the globe. Instead, terrorist attacks and violence used against civilians go hand in hand with the policies of the state at war and only help to further strengthen capitalism and states around the world.

[[a fuller statement will be online shortly at  http://libcom.org and we will be inviting british libertarians and anarchists to lend their support to our statement]]
