Reading UK Indymedia i am hear many people who can beleive that the US would fabricate a terrorist attack or that Russia would try to. But they do not beleive that your leadership would do the same thing.
This is the blindness that is plauging my country (the US) where we cannot imagine our leaders doing to us what they have done all over the world.
Blair has already joined with Bush in fighting the illegal war. He has dragged all of you into these horrible Nuremburg crimes.
Wake up. Many of you saw the film "The Power of Nightmares" on BBC. This film was about the use of fear and the fabrication of events in order to mobilize the population through collective trauma and fear. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU. the years directly after 9/11 where some of the weirdest i've ever seem and we are all still in a real daze. it doesn't take much to force a country into submission and you are about to see this happen in your country.
I am very concerned that you all will loose perspective.
One mistake we all made was to buy into the propeganda. when we tried to respond, we were told "what about the memory of the victims?" and we shut our mouths. it took over a year before there was a serious public resistance to the event.
You must respond NOW!!! you must turn the pool of fear that they are creating into a force of empowerment and resistance. to your country's illegal actions in the mid-east, to your adherence to neoconservative politics, to your leaders' pergery, etc. etc.
look at spain- their quick response to the attacks led to real change in their country.
DO NOT LISTEN WHEN THE MEDIA DEMONIZES YOU FOR STANDING UP. Kept standing and more will follow.
do not focus on "Blair Did It" or whatever. Instead present an alternative response to terror: not being afraid, acting in peace, etc. etc.
