George Galloway made worldwide headlines on May 17th when he appeared in front of a Senate committee on investigations, after its members accused him of profiteering from Saddam Hussein's regime by receiving vouchers for oil, despite the fact that such allegations against Galloway had already been proven to be based on forged documents.

Galloway did what no American on Capitol Hill could, he told the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Galloway turned the tables and put the entire US establishment on trial for arming Saddam, imposing genocidal sanctions which killed a million Iraqis, and then the two illegal wars which killed and maimed hundreds of thousands more.

Galloway appeared as a guest on The Alex Jones Show to discuss his Senate appearance and the subsequent fallout it generated.

At the end of the show Alex Jones asked Galloway if he thought an invasion of Iran was on the horizon. Galloway was confident that massively opposed public opinion would stop an attack from taking place, unless a staged terror attack carried out by the military industrial complex and blamed on Iran was carried out.

JONES: "What do we do if the military-industrial complex carries out a terror attack to blame it on them?"

GALLOWAY: "Well that's another very real danger. There's no way we can legislate for that but we we must be on guard. We need a vigilant citizenry."

JONES: "Unbelievable."

GALLOWAY: "We need a vigilant citizenry that are wise to all the tricks that these monkeys are up to."

MoD plans Iraq troop withdrawal

The Ministry of Defence has drafted plans for a significant withdrawal of British troops from Iraq over the next 18 months, the Financial Times has learnt.

In what would represent the biggest operational shake-up involving the armed forces since the Iraq war, the first stage of a run-down in military operations is likely to take place this autumn with a handover of security to Iraqis in at least two southern provinces.

This is unbelievably crass. We could all name dozens of "scumbag" regimes who could do any or all of the things recounted, but unless there is some evidence for their involvement, there's no point in conjecture. I hope by "the Israelis" you mean Mossad or the Israeli Government - or do you really count B'tselem, the Israeli human rights group, or Uri Avnery among the people who would do all those things? If so I think you should go all the way and say "the Jews".

As for this being a way of keeping our troops in Iraq, that would mean, I suppose, that the Israelis haven't heard about the Madrid bombing and its aftermath. I didn't realise their intelligence services were that bad.

I notice that there is a wide gap between the title of the PP peice (re-)posted and what Galloway is quoted as saying. I cannot see any information that Galloway actually said anything to the effect of the title.

Please post an unexpurgated transcript, so we can see what was said in the run up to Mr Galloway's apparent comments.

Eben if he the summary is correct. What does it prove? And where does it implicate Israel? Is a bunch of nutcase muslims not scary enough for you?

Apart from all that. Haven't you twigged that the attacks in London stand as much chance as being bad for Blair's agenda as it is good. IMHO I think Blair is now going to have a harder time, once it has sunk in that it all happened off the back of the "sexed up dodgy dossier."

I personally think that the Bilderberg Group has made a genetic clone of Hitler's brain and transplanted into Lord Lucan's cybernetically-enhanced body...
