London Anti Shoot To Kill protest, video and pics.

"Shame on you! Shame!", called one protester to the cops outside police HQ.

Here are some early pics from the protest today outside New Scotland Yard. I was just hanging around taking photographs, like loads of other people but was questioned by police on three separate occasions.

Cop, "Are you part of the demo? If so get behind the barriers".

I have a strong dislike of barriers.

Cop, "You had better leave or they (the protesters) might give you a good kicking".

Because I was taking photographs? The protesters had loads of media and police cameras with long lenses trained on them anyway! Double standard?

Me, "Why do the police keep questioning me? Do I look suspicious or what?" I said, "There is no law against taking pictures'. "What about the tourists, they are taking pictures?". What about those people (the media and office workers) hanging round?"

Cop, "If you don't keep moving I'll arrest you for obstruction", came the reply.

Obviously, a very different sort of law from normal applies to me, so I left.

Yeah, shame on the cops, they've only managed to arrest one of the four attempted bombers today. Thats more constructive than any of your protests, but then again there are only about 20 of you.

Unlike the swp/ stop the war/ galloway brigade, ordinary folk believe that we should unite behind the family of Jean Charles, not a f***ing political slogan or party and fair play to the souls who will take it to the door of the people who are directly responsible for this murder.
What colour are your eyes or cant you see where your head is at the moment ?
Who's Next ?

You could say

You could say the terrorists are responsible as they created the climate of fear in London by launching a terrorist campaign through suicide bombings....but I suppose its more easy for you to stand outside stockwell or scotland yard.

Freedom Fighter? Isn't that what the Al Quieda call themselves....And what freedom are you fighting for? This is one of the safest countries in the world. The fact that you can protest against the police and government proves that. If you want an oppressive state to liberate go to Zimbabwe or Chechnya.

Technically...

Technically, it wasn't a murder.

And how is protesting helping? thats not helping, its hindering.
You're wasting police time by protesting.
You can't turn back time with a banner, I can, but you can't.
