St Agnes Place eviction: more photos

A very broad cordon has been put around the area, so making it very difficult to see what's going on.

A plush full-colour leaflet detailing the eviction and the future of St Agnes Place - including an artists impression of the area after development! - was made available by the authorities, as part of a press release it seems. The authorities believe this eviction could take a few days.

about those climbers

29.11.2005 21:16

Do those climbers appear to be part of the police or are they more independent looking?
Does their gear look quite well used?
Did one of them have dreads?
Any of them wearing balaclavas or other attempts to disguise?

I ask all this cos there was a verminous bunch of scab climbers from Sheffield that basically enabled cops and bailiffs to quickly evict every tree top based anti-road protest site during the 90's starting with Stanworth valley in Lancs.
 http://www.richard-turner.co.uk/home.htm
Without those scum, many of the protest sites would have been unevicatable.
Back then they were ostracized by most of the climbing community for what they were doing but because they were paid such obscene amounts of money, they carried on regardless. I and many others from those times are very interested if this Judas gang has been resurrected.

Moonlighting

I see Peter Crouch is exploring other career options.

Sad to see St Agnes Place go. But more TAZ's will pop up elsewhere

Gotta despise all the cops, bailiffs, climbers and demolition men involved in this sordid episode.
