Jen Trinfication | 23.01.2006 00:03 | Free Spaces | Globalisation | Social Struggles | London

All the signs are pointing to the posibility of an eviction Monday am of the community occupied cafe in Broadway market Hackney. Come and support the struggle against the gentrification and homogonisation of our communities.

Despite wanting to negotiate, the developer Dr Wratten has now said that the eviction is on. Sheriffs visited the siter on Thurs and tonight there is a cherry picker ( to get people off the roof and the tripod) parked around the corner. It looks very very likely that the eviction will take place in the early hours of monday morning ....
The cafe is locked down now and barricaded for the night so no one can stay who isnt inside - but please come to support in the morning as early as you can...
