Tyneside Community Action for Refugees (TCAR) is in complete solidarity with the detention centre protesters at Harmondsworth and Yarl's wood. We have called an action this saturday (9th Decemeber) 12 noon- Monument, Newcastle city centre to show our support and raise the profile of the brave action these asylum seekers have taken and their success in releasing 150 detainees across the UK. End detention! End deportation! Together we are stronger!

SOLIDARITY WITH DETENTION CENTRE PROTESTERS!
DEMONSTRATE SATURDAY 9TH DECEMBER
GREY’S MONUMENT 12.00- 2.00pm
Yarls’ Wood Detention Centre- Over 70 asylum seekers, including 40 children have been on hunger strike since 30th November to protest against bad medical treatment for children.
Harmondsworth Detention Centre- Detainees organised protests because of inhumane conditions in the prison. So much damage was caused to the building that much of the centre has been closed. Because of their brave actions, over 150 detainees in other detention centres have been released in order to make space for their re-housing!
Let’s show our solidarity! Come and demonstrate with us, bring your friends, your children and your energy!

Yarls’ Wood Detention Centre- Plus de 70 demanadeurs d’asile, y compris 40 enfants font une grève de la faim depuis 30th November pour protester contre le mauvais soin medical pour leurs enfants.
Harmondsworth Detention Centre- Les détenus se sont élever contre les conditions inhumaines dans le prison. Il y avait tant de dommages au batiment qu’on a dû fermer grandes parties du centre. Grâce à leurs actes courageux, plus de 150 détenus ont été libéré pour faire de la place pour eux.
