Magnificent space!

The only police presence at 4pm was a police video van watching all the coming and goings. Are the cops too lazy now to turn up with individual cameras to push in people's faces?

Police?

31.03.2007 18:21

I didn't notice a police van when we left at about 6.15pm, there was a police car on the other side of the road. there were two guys in white shirts inside, were they police or security men? they seemed just to be looking at the sound system and didn't really interfere.

It was my first event of this type and enjoyed it a lot, learnt lots, picked up piles of flyers and bought a few dvd's from the Indymedia stall. Would have stayed later but not knowing anyone and being shy doesn't help ;) But hopefully there wil be more.

Hope the party goes ok overnight.

Why don't the cops do real work and catch a few villians instead of intimidating

02.04.2007 15:21

I was back and forth during this wonderful event and at around midnight the cops blocked off Highbury Corner stopping traffic going along Holloway road and they had blocked traffic the other way from Drayton park.

Some officers started shoving people up the road towards where I was standing harassing people going towards the venue and got one or two from the pub across the road saying the event was about getting rid of foriegners which we soon clarified wasn't the case and set the record straight.

later some of us decided to take to the rooftops and rid ourselves of some rotten eggs and some mouldy old flower and two of us did do some cleaning up sop don't have a go at us for getting into your gig for free.

The Heckler.

Keep up the good work you lovelies.
