Bring a Banner

Banner Man | 18.08.2007 23:59 | SOCPA | Repression | London

The GLA have put a whopping great metal fence right round Parliament Square and moved Brian Haw's enclave into an ever tinier patch. But this also gives the opportunity for a huge show of solidarity. Make Brian a peace banner and bring it with hooks to fix on the lovely new fence. If all of you brought something we could make a display even bigger than the one the Police (unlawfully) took away last year.

And with Superintendent Terry off to pastures new overseeing the terrorist threat at the 2012 Olympics, and the Commissioner Ian Blair too drunk to notice, maybe this display of banners will stay up longer than the last one.

Even if the Police do come and take banners away, just keep making bigger and better ones and keep bringing them and attaching them to the new fence.

All anti-war / pro-peace slogans are welcome.

Come on down to Parliament Square.
