Climate Camp protesters D-locked and superglued themselves to BPs London offices in St James, London today.

Covered in oil they kept up an eerie wail (someone asked if it was a Philip Glass tune :-) and stayed locked on for several hours.

Half way through they were joined by the Yorkshire neighbourhood who had just finished an invasion of venture capitalists Bridgepoint, around the corner in Regent Street.

Eventually police engineers released them and they were bundled off and away. Huge cheers went up from the crowd - "Hip hip hooray" and "You're not the criminals - they are" rang out.

a small correction to your terminology

MM your use of the title engineer is hardly correct here. An engineer is a qualified person who designs or constructs things based on scientific principles. Any kind of monkey can use a pair of bolt croppers or an angle grinder. The only thing your average riot cop is capable of constructing is a section 60 cordon... or provoking a riot. Great report(s) though.
