Oil Bank of Scotland London Protest and Rooftop Occupation

Oscar Beard | 17.10.2007 18:46 | Climate Chaos | Ecology | London | World

Monday 15 October 2007, Rising Tide hit the Royal Bank of Scotland Headquarters on Bishopsgate, London.

One climber dropped a banner from the front porch, 1500 leaflets were distributed and polar bears bungled around the entrance looking for a new home, as it's old habit seems to have melted, but City Police prevented the poor devil from setting up home in the foyer.

Obviously not animal-lovers.

Great film, although i'm concerned that there doesn't seem to be any semblance of anti-capitalism here. What appears to be expressed here, is that the protesters want the bank to invest in something 'nicer'.

This really sucks imho.

Have things really got to the point where we endorse some kind of 'ethical' green capitalism?

What's happening?!

anti-capitalist
