New Year's Eve Peace Vigil on Salisbury Plain

Ruth Underwood | 23.12.2007 00:01 | Anti-militarism | Iraq | Terror War | London | South Coast

The 'ghost village' of Imber, near Warminster in Wiltshire, was commandeered by the army in World War II for training purposes, with the promise that residents could move back after the war. That never happened and now the village is only open for a few days every year when the army are not activly training on Salisbury Plain.
