Mother with children violently deported on Virgin flight

No Borders London | 11.03.2008 13:11 | Migration | Repression | London

No Borders London has learnt that a young mother with two children, one aged about two and the other about 3 months old, were violently deported on Virgin Atlantic flight VS651 on 18/01/08 from London Heathrow to Lagos.

The mother was being restrained by 4 individuals and was screaming in pain. She shouted repeatedly that her case was still within the courts and no judgement had been given. Her handcuffs were so tight she had to be given ice to suppress the swelling, and her legs were so badly injured she was carried to the toilet.

This deportation was witnessed by the relative of north London resident Ms T Fagbore. Ms Fagbore has been in correspondence with Virgin Atlantic's Customer Relations department who confirm that the deportation took place.
