Tony McNulty has left the UK Home Office! Wait! He is back on TV! Backing lack of rights to jobs and dignity for ordinary people...

Just as the whole world has been media-obsessed over the Western markets and their infections on the other continents, something very worthwhile has been lost in the UK. The rights of ordinary people to be free from state take-over of private lives lives. And in the take-over process, Tony McNulty has fronted for the Gordon Brown regime. With the temporary loss of the 42 day detention ploys, the issue is unlikely to feature on TV screens in the near future... But there is no stopping McNulty hogging the screens. This week on, he is to be the universal baddy on an even more unwanted front. UNEMPLOYMENT McNulty has just surfaced as the face of unemployment on the UK tv screens. justifying the Govt attacks on the ordinary poor, the low paid..... whilst the same Govt finds £Billions of public money to bail out bankers....

Makes you wonder, doesn't;’t it, that someone at the far end of the Gordon Brown regime, there must be a quite reliable plan at work..... To Make Tony McNulty the face of everything bad in the Govt.....

Yes, he's wheeled into jobs that are particularly unpopular probably because he is a forceful character, is pretty sharp and an effective communicator. These chracteristics bode him well in being the public face responsible for unpopular jobs such as when he was Immigration Minister, when the wave of detentions and removals was particularly high. McNulty is a fast communicator - has the ability to out-wit tv interviewers with a disarming ability to bombard them with a complexity of policy government-speak and jargon (Mandarin-speak) which leads the interviewer and listener to too easily give way to him and give him the benefit of the doubt. However, when he was Immigration Minister, he got into difficulties in the job which were never really revealed - only that a minister even more competent than him - Liam Byrne - was put in post to implement the new immigration points system.

Not notably competent...

Tony McNulty got ran out of Glasgow by asylum seekers and their supporters when he visited as Immigration Minister. There's a photo kicking around that shows him hiding on the back seat of his ministerial Mercedes as it forces its way out of the City Chambers. How we laughed.
