Friday 17th Oct Schroders bank cleaners demo 1pm

antischroders | 16.10.2008 20:48 | Workers' Movements | London

The cleaners are trying to get a pay rise for over 12 months, for all this period our management (Lancaster Cleaning Company) keep promising an increase and stop 3 times the cleaners demonstrate in front of Schroders head quarter base on the promises.

Schroders - a global asset management company
Schroders is a global asset management company with £130.2 billion (EUR 164.4 billion / $259.1 billion) under management as at 30 June 2008.

And is paying the cleaners only £6 an hour.

We had been congratulating for our good job but congratulations don't pay ours bills.

Now we have been told that not only will we not received the London living wage but also will lose our jobs because Schroders want a night shift to replace our 4 hrs part time shift. And reduce the staff from 30workers to 9 workers.

We are appealing to the all the Londoners to help us stop this injustice supporting our demonstration in front of Shredders Head Quarters: 31 Gresham Street, London EC2V 7QA on Friday 17 October 2008 at 1pm (not 5pm as previously advertised).

You can also send you letter of support to our email:  schroderscleaners4justice@live.com

We want to thanks YOU in advance for any support.

Sincerely

Cleaners from Schroders
