Action Alert: Protest against Bristol Zoo!

JimDog* | 10.04.2009 17:58 | Animal Liberation | London

A callout has been made for anyone with an interest in stopping the exploitation of animals in Zoos for our "entertainment" to attend a massed demonstration tomorrow (11th April, 2009) at 12pm outside the gates of Bristol Zoo as part of Zoo Awareness Weekend 2009.

Bristol Animal Rights Collective (BARC) will be holding a demonstration tomorrow to protest against the caging of wild animals in zoos as part of Zoo Awareness Weekend 2009.

Groups throughout the UK and Ireland, as well as others around the world will be focusing their attention on the appalling and unnatural conditions faced by zoo animals, caged for our "entertainment".

The protest at Bristol Zoo will gather at 12pm at the main gates and a call has been issued for anyone within travelling distance to make the effort to attend, as a show of numbers is essential to show that the plight of these animals is not being ignored.
