Naked Cycle Cock Up

Poor Boy | 09.06.2013 09:23 | Free Spaces | London

Mass confusion on Meet up point.

What a Cock up for the Naked Cycle Ride yesterday in London.
I and many other Riders went to Hyde Park Corner which has been the official Stripping off and Starting point for many years..

A bout 50 or so Cyclists were there Ready to participate .
Everybody scratching their head and wondering where everyone was .

Then all of a sudden we were told that the Ride had already left from another part of the park..

Why did the organisers Change the Venue ?
The could have had the Decency to send someone to Hyde park corner to tell people of the New meeting point.

many Cyclist's missed out .

there were five different meet-up points this year

as i discovered by looking at the wnbr website last week.... having realised that the date was approaching but no details had appeared.

i don't know of anybody who's seen any paper flyers for the london event, so am assuming the organisers didn't do as much of that kind of publicity as in previous years/ other cities. but the website was very clear about starting times and places

it sounds like they were asked not to use the 'traditional' place in hyde park, and for some reason decided it'd be fun to have five separate rides all converging from different parts of london. i was working yesterday, so don't know how that plan went . the idea was that all five groups would meet up by the london eye and then cross waterloo bridge together, and end at wellington arch . it'd be interesting to know if the timing worked well for them all.
