Minnesota is the home state of Senator Coleman, who attempted to slander Gallaway. This is no joke. Any help would be appreciated.

Independent Media Journalist Michael Cavlan (myself) declared at a press confernce his intention to run for the US Senate in Minnesota. Outspoken peace and justice activist and media critic, Cavlan had called his press conference at the state capital in St Paul Minnesota on the same day that MP Gallaway was being smeared by fellow Minnesotoan, Senator Coleman.

Bomb making factory closed down

DSDA Beith in Ayrshire was blockaded and invaded today by a delegation from Glasgow Against War. They closed two gates and hung a anner from the tallest building on the site. The factory makes cruise missiles, "bunker buster" bombs amongst other offensive weapons. See the press release sent out this morning...

Sunday Times reports Faslane base may 'close' on G8 Demo Day + G8A Int Mtg

Sunday times reports many staff may be given the day off. Not that surprising - on most faslane submarine base big blockade days which have happened in the past, many staff are given the day off, essential staff come in early to beat the blockades and some come by boat.

The faslance base 'source' is quoted as saying "We’re used to this sort of thing but the people planning it are not the ordinary peaceful protesters" - maybe they should tell Trident Ploughshares, CND and Scottish CND who are, as usual, planning the blockade!

Article also covers the G8Alternatives international organising meeting that has been going on in Scotland this weekend.

Susan Karim’s trip to Baghdad March 2005

Start of leg from Glenrothes to Lochgelly on Friday October 24th 2003. This is a 1,500 word with 11 photos of the trip made to Baghdad by Susan Karim in March 2005. Susan organised two sponsored walks for Iraqi orphans in 2003, the first from Dundee to Edinburgh and the second from Edinburgh to Glasgow. She went to Iraq in 2004 and again this year.
