Dutch police officer, who shot Rishi Chandrikasing, acquitted/Licence to kill

11-01-2014 02:36 | Analysis | Anti-racism | Repression | London | World

The acquittal of the Dutch police officer, who shot unarmed Rishi Chandrikasing, a Dutch
citizen of colour, is an absolute scandal. Cop claimed self defence, while Rishi was running away,
didn't try to reanimate him [he was living after hit by the bullet] and shot when moving [against police
instruction]. But it fits a long tradition of Dutch police violence, racist or other.
A broad protest in society is necessary. No Justice, no peace!

Mark Duggan murder: How the establishment did cover up a political killing?

09-01-2014 08:48 | August Riots | Anti-racism | Repression | Social Struggles | London | World

Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley challenged by protesters outside the court
It takes one very simple sentence, to explain -how- an Inquest Jury in the High Court, erroneously produced the widely reported media headlines, that Mark Duggan was "lawfully" killed by the Metropolitan Police.

The Judge improperly -directed- the Inquest Jury, over what could be called evidence, and the Duggans' lawyers, did not properly challenge that.

Ultimately if the Duggan family had proper legal representation, a European Court ruling, would lead to the proper verdict of unlawful killing.

Solidarity demo with Russian LGBTQ activist facing deportation

09-12-2013 18:08 | Migration | Repression | London | World

A crowd of more than 150 people assembled around the UKBA offices in London Bridge. We spoke to Ira to show her how much support there is for her and others in Yarl’s Wood. Almost £100 was raised to be passed on to other detainees for phone credit as a lot of them are completely isolated. If you would like to donate online for detainees in Yarl’s Wood or to the campaign please send a message via the Irina Must Stay facebook. We are thinking of holding another demo on Saturday 14th Dec at the Home Office or Yarl’s Wood – please follow the twitter @irinamuststay to keep updated. Thanks for your support!

Disconnecting the police state: Sabotage@Vodafone

29-11-2013 11:48 | Policing | Repression | Technology | World

The night before last night we attacked the electronic communication net in Berlin (Germany). Our act of sabotage took place at a Vodafone radio tower and is meant as a symbol against total surveillance by governments, secret services and transnational corporations. Vodafone was chosen because it is eagerly engaged in cooperating with the british secret service GCHQ. GCHQ cooperates with the american secret service NSA. And NSA in turn cooperates with german secret service BND. Secret services collect patterns of normality and compare particular behaviours in order to find out if you could plan something deviant before you know it yourself. The collaborations of secret service industry and the industry's secret services secure the conditions of profit and power for both of them.
