A victory????

03.09.2005 14:41

The death penalty being kept in Iraq is a victory for tony blair??

Actually no its not. Look at what is going on in Iraq and the sophistication of the methods being applied by the resistance.

neither the Iraqi government or the occupation actually have control over Iraq so they are keeping the death penalty in place to try and send a wave of fear through the country.

Lets look at it from another perspective. The Iraqi's have lived under Saddam, through the sanctions, invasion and occupation. Lets not forget that Iraqi's lived under fear a long time before everybody in the UK started going on about how brutal Saddam was, over a decade after Saddam took power.

Now a bunch of British and American citizens think that these same people are going to be intimidated by the death penalty.

They were all living on death row before and still are. The fear for the people is from starvation and dirty water not from the puppet regime. Also, my advice to people is to actually look at Iraqi history, not some watered down Western colonial version and look at what the Iraqi people are capable of doing under such circumstances.

The real fear of death is being felt by the new government more than it is the people, since the occupation started look at who has faced the death penalty - most of the government officials that is who.

pissed off iraqi

Unity + Victory to the Iraqi Resistance !!

Very well spoken, POI,

- although the title may have been meant as a 'clever + sarcastic' remark about Blair - but that's the British for you, fixated on their own stupid shit all the time.

It is very difficult for them to understand that the victory will not come as the gift of some quisling puppet band of Collaborators, who do not earn the name of 'government' because they know only taking orders from US generals, but by the vigorous actions of the brave Iraqi People and their resistance organisations to drive out the criminal occupation.

It is an even further stretch of their imagination to think of supporting such people and organisations, even verbally. This is because the british population is very heavily self-controlling and living under a shroud of fear and psychological warfare from their own 'leaders'. They hope for some mercy from Blair & Co to save them from the obviously horrible future - a tragic lack of balls is the name of this disease. Vacuous jabbering cannot replace them, as we can see.

The real death penalty must be legitimately applied to EVERY imperialist strom-trooper in your country, regardless of the dribblings of the doomed puppet regime or the inane ravings of some jumped-up jug-earred British Clown..

I for one salute and support the great efforts being made in that direction - your successes are a great and inspiring example for the rest of the world - more power to the Iraqi Resistance Brigades and a speedy and very painful defeat for the imperialist dogs and their collaborators, regardless of their respective nationalities.

May you keep the flame of justice burning in your hearts, be smart and fight on to final victory! The Enemy is weakening.
