We are 35 refugees, women and men, from many countries - We were evicted from our rooms on 7 August because Home Office said that we didn't apply for asylum in a "reasonable and practical time" but many of us applied within one or two days of arriving yet we were evicted.

Efforts are being made to prevent a leading member of the far-right Belgian party Vlaams Blok visiting the Scottish parliament.

MSPs say they are horrified that Dominiek Lootens-Stael, the party's leader on the Brussels regional parliament and a member of the Flemish parliament, will be in a Flemish delegation making a four-day visit to Holyrood next month.

Home demolitions continue despite 'road map' while activists resist

Waiting for the IOF Saturday the 17th August, 2003 – Balata Refugee Camp, Nablus.
The IOF arrive at the home of the Abu Salem family with the intention of demolition. An act of collective punishment for the actions of his son who is a martyr. There are five activists from the International Solidarity Movement staying in the home in response to a very real threat of demolition, due to the IOF carrying out three home demolitions in the Nablus in the previous four days.
