50 protesters, including asylum seekers, church ministers and charity workers gave Tony McNulty, immigration minister - the man who refuses to end dawn raids on Scottish soil - the send-off he deserves, letting him know in no uncertain terms that asylum seekers are Scotland's future lifeblood and are needed and wanted here, but he is not.

ALF Strike Fife Deer Farm

Grafitti on the Road Sign A deer farm praised for its animal welfare standards was attacked by animal rights activists late on the night of Wednesday 22nd March. Hundreds of metres of fencing were cut down and slogans painted on the road leading to family-run Reediehill Farm near Auchtermuchty.

Strike Rallies throughout Britain on 28th March - Red Tuesday!

Red Tuesday - 28th March will see mass strikes against capitalist attacks in both Britain and France.
In Britain, the strike will be to defend workers pension rights, and will involve 1.5 million workers. It could be the largest strike here since the 1926 general strike.

International Women's Day at a Glasgow social centre

From 2 till 10 yesterday the chalkboard was filled with a succession of over 40 women, a few girls and the only male - a 4 month baby. We drank tea, ate cake, and laughed together. A wide range of women, from many different walks of life, including feminists, those that were looking for more female companionship and others who had never celebrated IWD before, but had been either walking past or picked up a flyer and curiosity brought them in.
