22-07-2009 07:28

US B-61 nuclear bombs are stored in Büchel Air Base
Among the American nuclear arms in Europe are 200-350 air-launched B-61 bombs stored in air bases in Germany, Turkey, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands.

Germany: First New Post-Cold War World Military Power

20-07-2009 06:48

Humanitarian intervention was an ad hoc ruse employed to launch NATO as an active 'out of area' warfighting machine and a political body to circumvent and replace the United Nations. Once the first part of that objective had been achieved it was dropped as quickly as it had been concocted and wars could then be conducted for traditional reasons: Territorial designs, the acquisition of resources, control of vital transport routes including sea lanes, punishing recalcitrant adversaries, revenge. In the process Germany became the first major post-Cold War international military power.

Revolutionary Cynicism

07-07-2009 17:10

In order for a truly autonomous movement to be realised, the rebellion must trascend consciousness, theory and action, with a true hatred for all civilized convention as a fundamental starting point. Enough about the December uprising, maybe some due time should be paid to their forefathers!

Border problems - no chance for the Afghani people in Calais

25-06-2009 19:10

Police arrest Afghani people in Calais
My name is Ali. I'm from Afghanistan. Now we live in the "Jungle", how we call the woods around Calais, were we're forced to live. We request support from the English people. The border is very hard. No one pass to England. The English government should tell the government of France to open the border.

FLASHBACK: Imperial Playground: Marching East of Iraq

24-06-2009 08:36

map of "The New Middle East"
The Anglo-American policy in the region is still focused on efforts of destabilization of the countries, and thus, provide both an excuse and a feasible situation to maintain control over the region.

Afghanistan and Iraq, often seen in the public view as two wars in the US-led ‘War on Terror’ which hopes to ‘rid the world of terrorism’, yet, in reality, these two major theatre wars are simply two geopolitical pivots in the broader strategy of Middle East and Eurasian imperial conquest.

Iran- Amnesia, Ignorance and Stupidity

23-06-2009 17:48

What is happening today in Iran is a classic example of a CIA destabilization operation and has absolutely nothing to do with democracy as many even on the so-called left believe. Iran has a lot of oil and its strategic location for US imperialism can simply not be overemphasized.

Happy J18: Ten Year Anniversary of June18th Protests: Pics+Links

Ten years ago today and a global Carnival Against Capital was erupting across the world with co-ordinated protests taking place in over 40 countries on June 18th 1999.

Directly targeting financial centres the J18 day of International Action was stunning in its scale and ran alongside the G7/G8 meeting in Koln Germany. It followed the Global Street Party that had been held alongside the G7/G8 meeting in Birmingham in 1998 and co-ordinated through Reclaim The Streets.

To remember it, here's a set of 23 pictures from London J18 courtesy of a photographer who was there for the morning and the party, but who missed the ensuing riot as police fought to regain control of the City of London.

The reasons for struggle are greater now than then, and climate change and economic meltdowns threaten the lives and livelihoods of us all.
