Press Release- 209radio is awarded an FM licence for Cambridge

Ofcom, the UK Communications Regulator, today awarded 209radio (Cambridge) a 5 year FM Community Radio Licence.

As part of the largest roll-out of radio stations seen in Britain, there are now 99 across the country serving local geographic communities and communities of interest. More are to follow in this first round of the process with a second wave soon to start.

An addicted UK Vine and Fig Tree Planter joined up with others international vine and fig tree planters to jolly along spring in Sweden, thus (I like that word) starting to warm the freeze at Gothernburg's Weapons factory (where a harsher shade of winter has laid).

Terrorism Act 2006 - Takedown notices, website owners beware!

The newly introduced Terrorism Act 2006 has some alarming clauses relating to websites - particularly likely to affect sites where members of the public can contribute content. Unwary bloggers, forum owners and even Indymedia staff could find themselves held liable (with maximum 7-year sentence) for unwitting "endorsement" of materials deemed to be terrorist in nature.

Bogus Aspartame Study Exposed by Experts

They tried to pass off a multifood form a decade ago with one reference to aspartame in coffee or tea as an aspartame cancer study. They were trying to rebut the impeccable Ramazzini Study which showed once and for all aspartame is a multipotential carcinogen.

mark barrett found guilty of unauthorised protest today

judge anthony evans delivered a written verdict today which he refused to read out in court. he handed down a £250 fine, plus £250 costs, and of course a criminal record. mark barrett will appeal to a higher court on human rights grounds.
