Tomorrow (Sun(y)day sees a day of celebration of nonviolent heroes, picnicing a

26-06-2010 23:11

Following today's successful nonviolent flotilla of cycles that took Alverhurst the March of the Penguins, famous penguin (who, incidentally now refuses to March to any war zone) to Marchwood Military Port today (the UK's biggest fleet).

On armed forces day (wrongly named 'forces') it was important to ensure that there was an nonviolent and unarmed presence and a subverting situation of the warring spectacle.

The Society of the Spectacle plays up war and makes heroes our of killers, and half felt soldiers who go - some not knowing why they go to war. Our arrival made the things change round - suddenly we were at first seen as a threat and then we subverted it by friendliness and we were even kind to the soldiers, police and MOD staff that turned up/talked to us. The level of fear was high - we made fun and play out of the situation not fear and fierceness. Methinks play achieves more than protest and seriousness ever can.

censored the overwhelming opposition to the Obama wars.

Support the Decommissioners Public Meeting

On 17th January 2009, as Israeli bombs rained down on Gaza, six people
broke into the EDO factory in Brighton and decommissioned the
production line damaging their capability to make weapons to be used
against Gazan civilians.

At this public meeting, just two days before the start of the
decommissioners trial, where they will argue that their actions were

Who is bombing in Iraq?

16-05-2010 12:06

Iraq's PM Maliki displaying photos of a man he claims to be an al-Qaida leader
Christopher King argues that it is likely that the American CIA – or Israel acting on its behalf – is responsible for recent atrocities in Iraq, in order to extend and consolidate the occupation, just as it is probable that the Times Square bomber was, wittingly or otherwise, acting for the CIA or Israel, to justify the US military intervention in South Asia.

Repeating history with Iran

15-05-2010 09:27

A French court recently recognized the idiocy of one of the U.S. government’s attempts to enforce its sanctions against Iran by denying the government’s request to extradite an Iranian businessman for allegedly violating the sanctions.

Perhaps the court was familiar with how U.S. officials had used the so-called “dual use” game against the Iraqi people during the 11 years of brutal sanctions against Iraq.
