the greater london authority and uniformed police mounted another expensive and unilateral raid on peace protestors in parliament square yesterday morning. they were there to enforce bye-laws but there are serious questions about the legality of the raid both in terms of jurisdiction and also in arbitrariness of conditions. 9/11 Truth: London Parliament Demo 11th August 2007

Here are some pics from our 11 August Demonstration outside Parliament in London. Due to the legislation from 2005 (SOCPA – Serious Organised Crime and Protection Act) all demonstrators had to apply for a lone demonstration license from the police. As usual at the start of the ride the police were threatening riders with sound systems with arrest if they dare to play them within the SOCPA zone around Parliament. Something they do not do to motorists with sound systems. The photos show police hassling a rider with a sound system. Read more >>

Another London Critical Mass police hassle.

Police routinely interfere with Critical Mass, holding up the front of the ride, targeting sound systems and sometimes ticketing riders. They also video and photograph riders at the start of every event. It is odd though that they never turn up for the December ride, which is close to the New year celebrations. Read more >>
