Sulu Massacre (Mindanao, Philippines)

“Despicable, loathsome, ruthless…” These were the words of Anak Mindanao Representative Mujiv S. Hataman on the latest tragedy in the province of Sulu , particularly in the coastal town of Maimbung , which claimed the lives of a 4-year old child, Marisa Payian, 9 year old Wedme Lahim, teenagers Alnalyn Lahim, 15 and Sulayman Hakob, 17. Three other civilians were also killed, Kirah Lahim, 45; Eldisim Lahim, 43 and Narcia Abon, 24. A certain Pfc. Ibnul Wahid of the Army's 6th Infantry Division who was said to be on vacation was also killed.

Kilburn Get Total Out of Burma protest 7th February

Eight protesters targeted Kilburn Total petrol station on 7th February at 409 Kilburn High Rd to demonstrate against the French Oil and Gas company. Total funds the brutal regime with hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Total's gas pipeline in Burma was built with slave labour from Burmese villages that were bullied and "relocated" by the junta's army for the pipeline (See www.totaldenialfilm.com).

Kilburn protest against Total Oil fuelling oppression in Burma

Nine protesters demonstrated at Kilburn Total petrol station on 31st January at 409 Kilburn High Rd, calling on the French oil company to stop being an accomplice to the theft of Burma's resources by the corrupt military junta. The National League for Democracy (NLD), led by Aung San Suu Kyi, won 82 percent of the seats in Burma’s 1990 election but the corrupt regime refused to hand over power.
