According to the London Evening Standard, a top British prosecutor has “warned that Britons who travel to join the Syrian conflict will face prosecution and potential life sentences on their return.” What the British prosecutor fails to address is that the British “freedom fighters” are being recruited with the full support of the British government of Prime Minister David Cameron in defiance of UK laws. Does this mean that those who finance and recruit terrorists at the highest levels of the British government also “potentially face life sentences” as suggested by Crown Prosecutor Hemming? Or is Her Majesty’s Government immune from prosecution?

Just as the designed-to-fail Geneva II negotiations between the Syrian government and the Western-backed fake opposition came to a close at the weekend, another media smear campaign against the Damascus authorities conveniently surfaces.

The latest "sensational" story is that the Syrian state army has been "wiping civilian residential areas off the map" in the cities of Damascus, Aleppo and Hama.

This must be seen as not just another sporadic Western propaganda stunt. It appears to signal a concerted effort to intensify the US-led agenda of regime change in Syria - an agenda that is criminal to the core. It dovetails with the "failure" of Geneva talks and reports of increased weapons supply from the US to the Al Qaeda proxies waging a war of terror inside Syria, as well as renewed threats of military aggression by Washington's top diplomat, John Kerry.

Human Rights Watch - a proven propaganda tool for the US government - presented satellite images that purport to show large residential areas having been "razed to rubble" by deliberate Syrian army demolition. In an all-too familiar pattern of dissemination, the story was duly given prominence by Western media, including France 24 and the [state-run] BBC.

The world is at the crossroads of the most serious crisis in modern history. The US has embarked on a military adventure, “a long war”, which threatens the future of humanity. This “war without borders” is being carried out at the crossroads of the most serious economic crisis in World history, which has been conducive to the impoverishment of large sectors of the World population. The Pentagon’s global military design is one of world conquest. The military deployment of US-NATO forces is occurring in several regions of the world simultaneously.

The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation was a military confederacy during the 60 Years Armistice. Although in an administrative sense the entity does still exist, it is already displaying its first significant fissures.

The Western media, Amnesty International and various other self proclaimed humanitarian organizations are running a war propaganda campaign against Syria following the release of thousands of photographs.

This slur of disinformation focusing on alleged atrocities committed by the Syrian government has coincided in a timely fashion with the Geneva 2 Peace Talks.

If it was not standing behind Europe, such as the Himalaya stands behind India, it would be the highest place of it. But being only a pillar, not a ridge of the entire width of the landmass, it is looking at a much more undefined seam between the subcontinent and the bigger entity it is attached to. Where Europe ends and Asia begins most of the time has been a matter of rivalry of empires, various European ones on one side and Russia on the other, with the entire situation itself being a result of a sort of musical chairs arrangement among them in which the respective ideologies of these empires have been rotating. The Chinese extension of airspace claims into the Pacific that shocked so many Atlantic observers is interesting to analyse for a number of reasons. First, it is just as symbolic as the recent border conflict with India in the Himalaya. Second, in its entire arrangement it nevertheless equals a tangential intervention into material conflicts of neighbours, first of all Japan and Korea. And third, the issues at stake such as the meddling of reactionary regimes from across the Pacific are hot enough to mandate attention from only collaterally related places which are affected by the destructivity of these forces as well. Nine months after the "High Noon" atomic test, China now appears to have seized the opportunity to assist Korea as a fellow "nuclear club" member and by doing so at the same time reassert its own position on the Taiwan issue. But to the outside observer it is something much worse that is contained in these developments – the Japanese expansionism whose first wave was only stopped by external reactionaries. Nobody can seriously want the atomic bombings against Japan to occur again, all the more so after the Fukushima incident. But anything suitable to stop the historical revisionism of the Tokyo regime from proliferating across the Pacific and Indian oceans and leaving similar consequences as it did the first time is a welcome – and under sudden circumstances even a necessary – change.

Recent new elements concerning the attack with the nerve agent sarin on the 21st of August in Syria point to the fact that, in contrast to earlier claims put forward by among others Human Rights Watch and the New York Times, there is not one shred of proof the Syrian army was involved.

On the 28th of December 2013 the New York Times to a certain degree withdrew its previous claims although it blamed the US government and not itself for the lies produced then back in September 2013. However Human Rights Watch still didn’t react to these developments and so continues to stick to its old now discredited lies.

It is completely disingenuous for anyone to suggest that the Guardian reports on Edward Snowden's revelations are much more than a carefully managed propaganda exercise deployed in the internal power struggle of the US-Anglo elite about how best to manage their declining global power and influence.

Likewise, it is absurd to suggest that the Guardian editors are implementing a "publish and be damned" policy, as Guardian writer Glenn Greenwald has suggested, when it is inconceivable that their editorial policy on publishing Edward Snowden's material will not have been closely coordinated on the basis of the Board's relations with colleagues in the British government, in British intelligence and in the US-Anglo corporate sector.

The acquittal of the Dutch police officer, who shot unarmed Rishi Chandrikasing, a Dutch
citizen of colour, is an absolute scandal. Cop claimed self defence, while Rishi was running away,
didn't try to reanimate him [he was living after hit by the bullet] and shot when moving [against police
instruction]. But it fits a long tradition of Dutch police violence, racist or other.

It is a deal made on the background of the overwhelming perception that at least as far as this aspect is concerned the destination of history is unequivocally decided, and the present does only relate to it in different ways. However all that was born from this huge perspective is a questionable compartmentalisation of a status quo which itself is a toxic asset. Conventionally it is being assumed that in war there was a linear threshold in form of a parameter that depicts whether that war is a conventional or an atomic war and whose crossing is a one-way street, and that this line would be passed with an explosion or series thereof. As non-linear mathematics turns out to be more descriptive of the situation, especially the theory of proliferation, it could mean that the single most relevant document of the United Nations after the Six Day War is built on contaminated quicksand and unsuitable to serve its purpose to bridge the overkill gap. This is the argument that this is the case and can be diagnosed from the loss of symmetry within the classification it imposes on states. The assumption that some states could be more equal than others but not than populations has turned out to be untenable, and with it the influence of that treaty and the political system revolving around it are crumbling away.

The kingdom stands now almost isolated politically. Its “going it alone” in the Syrian conflict has cornered Saudi Arabia into a self-inflicted foreign policy no-win deadlock.

Months after the events took place, Pulitzer prize winning journalists and others are finally reporting about the lies and manipulations of the US government regarding the recent chemical weapons attack in Syria. Far from shining a light on the true situation in the country, however, these reports continue to avoid the underlying causes and explanations for what is happening in Syria, and the forces that are behind it.

Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the Syrian war coverage of the mainstream media is not its underlying bias—that was always to be expected—but how remarkably ineffective that coverage has been in convincing the public of the need for military intervention in the country. After nearly three years of relentless propaganda attempting to convince the public of the virtue of the terrorist insurgency and the incomparable evil of Assad, the seemingly inevitable march toward war in the wake of the Ghouta chemical weapons attack faltered after public opinion overwhelmingly came down on the side of non-interventionist policies.

Perhaps reading public sentiment, many mainstream outlets even took to pointing out the media bias on the war and trying to retroactively position themselves against military intervention. This has to be credited to a remarkable, global, grassroots phenomenon of independent citizen media breaking through the layers of propaganda to provide true, cogent analysis of the situation on the ground in Syria.

It is a blatantly obvious contradiction – on one hand the worst regimes on the planet (in terms of overall historical record not current rating) are wasting horrendous efforts to oppress the most advanced people, on the other these same regimes are totally failing to heal any of the wounds their destructive forces leave on the record of the species and its environment. The terror regime in the name of the people has become so bad that everything it is allegedly meant to protect against is happening by accident because nobody cares. The signs are visible to the unaided eye that the atmosphere may not take it any longer and produce a climate collapse smashing the face of the Earth, but the regimes decide to squander the resources for harassment and abuse rather than dedicate them to a solution of the planetary problems. The wisdom of total abolition is whispered along by every natural being, but the machinery of hopelessness is running hotter every time it is being switched up a gear, and its growling and howling is getting lost in the skies. Since regimes need people but people do not need regimes, it is not just an ideal failure but one of these gross inappropriatenesses of the current which later on tend to be recognised as its defining elements and can only be done with by its complete breakdown. What is hence required is a coherent theory of digital totalitarianism that allows gaining explanations and making predictions useful for the disassembly of it. What is this monstrous conglomerate that has become of the system of nation states and how can its vast and complex problems be described in a way more useful against them than for their obfuscation?
