The Muslim BNP

A breakdown of the views held by local Birmingham resident Gina Khan, who claims to be challenging radical islam, but instead seems to have been giving the media all the irresponsible scapegoating they could want. Her views mirror those of the BNP and were she not Muslim herself, you would think they were the words of the far-right! I have below The Times' article with her quotes and my response.

Fascists NOT WELCOME in Reading - or anywhere else! Demo report.

On Monday 19th February, the local Reading press reported that BNP leader Nick Griffin, was gonna pay our town a visit on the Wednesday. The BNP's regional organiser reckons they've got "a lot of members (in Reading) but no organiser" and that if they could be organised, they could field candidates in the local elections, maybe up to 4.

Stop the deportation of Aseng and her six children to DRC

On Friday 16th February Aseng Nzoabar and six children, aged between 3 and 17 years, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) were detained in a "dawn raid" in Leeds.
They have been given removal directions for Monday 26th February on the "deportation charter flight" to the DRC.

In India Islamophobia, and fear of Muslims has come on the top of ongoing RSS project of spreading Hate against Muslims which has been in operation since last more than seven decades. The interesting point is that a numerical majority has been indoctrinated to believe that this minority is a threat to them.

Glasgow: 100+ Protest at Removal to DR Congo

Over a hundred Glaswegian asylum seekers and supporters, most of African origin, held a lively protest outside the Home Office Reporting Centre at Brand Street yesterday (Wednesday). They were protesting against the detention and attempted removal of Eddie Ngienga, Angelique Lukombo and their children, here since 1999.

Emergency demo Monday re deportations to DRCongo

At yesterday's meeting of the LSE Fight Racism! Fight Imperialism! society at which a representative of the Congo Support Project spoke, it was agreed that we would organise an emergency demo on Monday to protest against the deportations planned for Monday evening. Police permission under SOCPA has now been granted. Please distribute information widely and come to event.

Don't blame immigrants for bad use of English

We are told that ‘multiculturalism has failed’, but not what multiculturalism is. Multicultural Britain isn’t a policy, it’s a fact. And now, apparently translating material into different languages, the purpose of which was to help people take part (integrate!) in society (attend evening classes for example or seek refuge from domestic violence) has suddently become a barrier to ‘integration’.

Racist healthcare denial in Brighton and Hove

On Friday 16th February about 20 people gathered with banners at the Royal Sussex Hospital, at the office of Jackie Bishop, local NHS Private Patient and Oversea's Patient's Co-ordinator. They were protesting against racist healthcare denial and demanding healthcare for all. Jacki Bishop has been denying asylum seekers treatment, kicked people out of hospitals and sent huge bills to people who were entitled to free care.

De Menezes Murderer/Patsy Rewarded

Surveillance video proved the police to be lying about the incident. It appears that this officer was rewarded for covering for the real shooter, who may have worked for an intelligence service, and murdered the electrician who saw something he should not have. You do not empty a clip into someone's head at point-blank range.

Downer, known locally as a gutless, smug, toff, was clearly on the back foot when confronted with the two principal issues that are decimating the conservative government; participation in the illegal invasion and occupation of Iraq and the abandonment of the Australian citizen, David Hicks.

Credit Suisse puts jungle destroyer on the Hong Kong stock exchange

The Swiss bank Credit Suisse is launching the Malaysian timber firm Samling on the Hong Kong stock exchange. Also involved in the float are the British HSBC and the Australian Macquarie Bank.

The sale of stock will begin on 23 February, trading starts officially on 7 March. Samling expects the float to give it 280 million US dollars which it wants to use to keep cutting down forests and repay debts.
