Asylum Seekers’ Housing Scheme Threatened With Closure

Hated for Being Successful Asylum seekers’ housing scheme threatened with closure
Troubleshooting accountants who were brought in to save a West Midlands-based charity which houses asylum seekers are in dispute with the Home Office over whether or not they are to close down the scheme. Trade union, Unison says the row threatens the jobs of the 135 staff who run Astonbrook Housing Association.

Sequani Trial Update - One Remanded - Three not guilty so far...

One of our friends Sean Kirtley was remanded in custody today after a jury found him guilty of Conspiracy to interfere with contractual relationships so as to harm animal research organisation. Rose Golding, Gemma Astbury and Wendy Clark have been found not guilty. Pauline Burgess and Jo Goodyear should have a verdict tomorrow.

Another Anti-Scientology Protest in Birmingham

Last Saturday (May 10th) tens of Anonymous activists gathered once again at the offices of the 'Church' of Scientology in Birmingham city centre to protest against the cult and its dangerous practices and policies. Wearing "V for Vendetta" masks and other costumes, they then spilled onto New Street to the bemusement of happy Saturday shoppers.

The meeting is convened just as the leaders of the Pakistan People's Party(Bhutto's party) and Pakistan Muslim League(Nawaz) have announced their failure to restore the judiciary demanded by the various movements in Pakistan, particularly the Lawyers movement.
