Gaza Protest Pictures (10/01/2009) pt 1

Disclaimer first.

It took this long to get these pictures to the Newswire simply because I shot so many (644 images), so it's taken quite some time to sift through them all and pick out the good stuff.

I'll be publishing them in several parts, as there is a lot of pictures to work through. They will also be in the order they were taken in each installment, so hopefully some kind of visual narrative will emerge as a result.

A flying start to the new year for anti-aviation campaigners

On Tuesday night of this week (06-01-2009), despite the temperature outside being minus figures, a room in Friends Meeting House, Cambridge was packed out by a couple of hundred people who wanted to hear another side of the story about the bombs being dropped on Gaza. Cambridge shows solidarity with Palestine.

Braving the freezing weather... While hundreds of thousands of people across the planet showed their solidarity today with the Palestinians currently being outgunned and massacred by a misguided Israeli government by taking to the streets of many cities, for those that couldn't join the massed ranks of protestors in London, they braved the freezing weather today in the middle of Cambridge to join an extremely well attended vigil.
