Abolish Child Slavery - Free the Child Slaves
Extraordinary allegations that child slaves are being smuggled into Britain by gangs of armed robbers who steal Big Issue magazines from the street vendors at knife point, and then force terrified children to sell them on the streets of London are being investigated by the BBC.
The accusations that international criminals involved with people smuggling and child slavery may have been behind the attacks, were made on the Indymedia UK website by readers commenting on a story about the arrest of a young lady on 27 April 2007.

Activists needle shareholders over E.ON nuclear power

It's not just in Nottingham that people are getting angry over E.ON's energy generating practices. Indymedia Germany have just reported that anti-nuclear activists have been demonstrating outside and inside the annual meeting of E.ON's stockholders in Essen, Germany. A coalition of environmental groups protested against E.ON’s plans to expand nuclear power production. Countries where E.ON is planning new nukes are Finland, Great Britain, Slovakia, Romania and Bulgaria.

Green activists today marked the tenth anniversary of Tony Blair coming to power by visiting his best friends in industry to highlight the revolving door between Labour and the aviation industry and his failure to tackle climate change. (1) A team of protestors from climate action group, Plane Stupid, (2) are blocking the ‘revolving door’ to BAA’s Heathrow HQ to oppose government and industry plans for airport expansion.
