New Fitwatch Spotter Card

Taking photos of Police to be considered a crime..

I joke not..

The relationship between photographers and police could worsen next month when new laws are introduced that allow for the arrest and imprisonment of anyone who takes pictures of officers 'likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism'.

Fitwatch response to Counter-Terrorism Act Receiving Royal Assent

The Counter-Terrorism Act received Royal Assent on 26th November. This act makes it a criminal offence, punishable by up to ten years imprisonment, to publish or elicit information abotu police officers which could be useful to terrorists.

The Forward Intelligence Teams seem to really love anti arms trade campaigners. Having already made their presence felt through years of DSEi protests, they have also long been a fixture at EDO demos. More recently, they have been travelling further afield, and have been spotted at St Athans demos in Wales, and the Heckler and Koch protests in Nottingham.

Class war is well and truly back on the streets of London after the Home Counties elected bumbling toff Boris Johnson to become Mayor.

Demonstrators outside city hall were met with TSG and FIT Teams who took it upon themselves to protect the BNP and force legal protest off the streets.

What the cops did in Cardiff yesterday

Yesterday there was a seriously over-policed peaceful demo in Cardiff against the huge new PFI that will bring a 'School of the Americas' style military academy run by arms dealers and the Open University to St Athan. Here are a few pictures of the cops, whose services were provided at huge expense to the taxpaying public, with a special focus on the evidence gathering team.

A fun day was had by all FITwatchers on the otherwise boring STW demo on Saturday 15th March (although less so for the ones who got nicked). The FIT seemed more sheepish, uncomfortable and shy this time; it seems that a FITwatch is having an effect!

The Fitwatch climate camp trial came to an abrupt halt on Thursday after the senior CPS lawyer sulked about losing an application to an unrepresented defendant and decided to take the District Judge's decision to Judicial Review.
