Who's Lying? The police or the police.

25-01-2008 12:35

The scum can't have it both ways. Who's lying? Take your pick.

Either the police federation lied and the BNP were invited to their march. Or the Bronze Commander lied to Fit Watch.

The second day of the trial of 2 protestors arrested outside ULU in Malet Street, ended with both defendants being found not guilty by a District Judge. Policing the No Border Camp

27-09-2007 13:25

There was nothing all that unusual about the policing of the Gatwick No Border Camp last week: intimidation and harassment, spin and lies, unlawful arrests.. all too familiar to those who've been around enough to realise that the police are not only about stopping crime and fighting terrorism. But it is always worth knowing the details of exactly what happened, how and why.

19-08-2007 17:27

A wholly peaceful group arrived behind BAA's headquarters around 3.30 this afternoon. Despite the fact that the contingent was largely composed of the CIRCA clowns, police responded in their usual way by sending in the riot squad.

FIT outside rampART
A Forward Intelligence Team was, again, waiting outside the rampATR social centre in London today as NoBorders activists arrived for a meeting about the Gatwick No Border Camp in September. As usual, they were photographing and writing down the descriptions of everyone coming in for over an hour. Yet, they were so shy of being photographed themselves!

Solihull Protest Against Deportations to DRC

12-04-2007 23:45

the designated protest area on the grounds of Sandford House
Over 200 people protested today at the immigration reporting centre in Solihull, near Birmingham, against deportations to the Democratic Republic of Congo. The protest, organised by the Congo Support Project, was part of a UK-wide coordinated day of action to mark a "directions hearing" for the Country Guidance Tribunal regarding DRC asylum seekers.

There was a large and heavy-handed police presence and the protest was penned, twice, into the car park after protesters refused to stay in the tiny designated area on the grounds of Sandford House. Protesters, however, broke off after a while and blockaded the road for about 2 hours. Two people were arrested, one also assaulted by an aggressive cop. They were released later on but only because their fellow protesters, in an empowering show of solidarity, refused to leave the site before they were released.
