International call for actions against "anti-terrorist" repression In France

05-06-2008 20:29

You'll find below a letter from jail as well as an international call for
action and solidarity with 4 people locked up in french jails since a few
months. They are accused of planning terrorist activity (sometimes just because
they were going to a demonstration with DIY smoke bombs) or taking part in
sabotage actions. They, amongst others, are pointed out as symbolic figures of
the « the resurging threat of anarcho-terrorists preparing for armed
struggle ». The french State is trying to build up this myth as a reaction to
ongoing revolts (migrants', workers', students', struggles against jails...).

Letter from Ivan and Bruno from the prisons of Fresnes and Villepinte

01-06-2008 23:14

Greetings to all friends, to all those who are not resigned to the situation in which we live: police occupation of the streets, of the cities, raids, deportations, arrests, daily difficulties, the dispossession of our lives; the situation that pushes us to cede a major part of our lives to the bosses of every genre, to those who preside over our destinies, to power. If we've taken the road of revolt, it's for all these reasons, to retake the power over our lives, for the freedom to live.

Mohamed Amin: stop removal tomorrow on Virgin airlines

31-05-2008 11:51

Mohamed Amin Akbar Khan has been in Britain for more than 14 years. He and his British partner have a 17-month-old baby daughter and another baby who was born three days ago, whom he hasn't seen because he has been in locked up in Colnbrook detention centre. After being assaulted at the airport on a previous removal attempt, last week a few days before the birth of his baby, Mohammed has problems breathing, talking, eating or walking. He was taken to the hospital and examined in handcuffs. A police 'investigation' is still underway.
Further, Kenyan authorities have just withdrawn Mohammed's passport, as they are saying his parents were not from there and therefore he is not a Kenyan national.
