Urgent appeal for two destitute young women refugees

This is an urgent appeal to help two fellow human beings who are absolutely destitute.

Kaltuma Ahmed (22 years old) & Shamsa Noor (22 years old), are two young Muslim women from Somalia. Shamsa’s two brothers were killed in Somalia. Both girls are extremely distressed. They have been evicted from their NASS accommodation EVEN THOUGH THEIR CASE IS GOING TO JUDICIAL REVIEW. They have no entitlement to state support whatsoever.

Destitute Refugee Attacked on the Streets of Glasgow

As we wrote this, a quiet, gently spoken young Iranian 'asylum seeker', Ali Mohammed Sadegh, was asleep in the back of our office...We would not normally allow this but then this is not a normal situation. On Friday 16th April at 11.30 pm, Ali was viciously beaten and stabbed by a group of 6 white men in what we believe was a racially motivated crime...Ali has been absolutely destitute for seven months. He has absolutely nowhere else to go but the street where he, and many others like him, have been forced out of their homes after being deemed 'failed asylum seekers'.

Don't Deport Mohammad Ud Din!

Ud Din is a 62 year old Pakistani man being held in Dungavel Detention Centre despite being in poor health.

Ud faces deportation to Pakistan from where he fled in 2002 following years of religious persecution from the state authorities and fundamentalist religious groups within the community.

After seven years Cambridge postman still waiting for asylum

Seven years ago today (13th April) Cambridge postal worker Boris Lidovski
arrived in the UK from Russia but he is still waiting for the Home Office to
sort out his application to stay in the country. He has received massive support
locally and nationally and the Boris Lidovski campaign is determined to keep
campaigning on his behalf.

First citizenship ceremony for UK (plagarised from bbc)

The first ceremony for immigrants granted British citizenship is to be held on Thursday.
Sixteen adults and three children will take part in the event at Brent town hall in north London.

Also there will be Prince Charles and Home Secretary David Blunkett, who said it would be
