British Muslims See the Media as Exclusionary and Discriminatory

27-01-2007 14:05

Islamic Human Rights Commission’s forthcoming report "The British Media and Muslim Representation: The Ideology of Demonisation" examines how persistent categorization of Muslims into narrow terms of (negative) discussion inheres in the British media. The report advocates a freer and fairer media that includes marginal and minority voices.

Is The Independent for or against a military attack on Iran?

27-01-2007 13:07

The Independent's leading article is a perfect example of subtle propaganda by the liberal press. The contrast of tone between the first parargraph and the rest of this
'anti-war' article is rather schizophrenic.

American Politicos Campaign for Likudnik Total War Against the Palestinians

26-01-2007 18:28

Naturally, come the election next year, with the American election selectees all lined up neatly in a row like rubber ducks with their Likudnik endorsements in hand, we will hear nothing of this long planned ethnic cleansing campaign, although we will assuredly hear about the threat of Iran, determined to cobble together a nuclear bomb or two and take out Israel in one last suicidal gasp.

U.S. Military Shows Off New Ray Gun

26-01-2007 07:13

The latest tool of The Military Industrial Complex was unveiled for the first time today, reconfirming years of speculation that Directed Energy Weapons will be part of the New World Order arsenal. This sick invention will torture the innocent women, children and enemies of "democracy" in a way the Geneva Conventions never could have envisioned.

Stop the Iran War Before It Starts

25-01-2007 16:50

In April 2001 I was invited to Washington, DC, by a group of Republican Congressmen collectively known as the Theme Team. The subject was Iraq. It seems that the Theme Team, responsible for monitoring the ideological pulse of America, was somewhat perturbed that a self-described Republican and former Marine officer, not to mention a former UN weapons inspector, was trash-talking America's Iraq policy. While this sort of action might have been acceptable during the tenure of a Democratic President like Bill Clinton, it was not part of the grand design when it came to the presidency of George W. Bush.

Presidential Selectee Hopefuls Do the Bomb Iran Conference

25-01-2007 12:22

Newt Gingrich once again climbs up on the soapbox, this time at the Herzliya Conference sponsored by the Institute for Policy and Strategy in Israel. Newt tells us that the “terrorist threats are larger and more formidable than the political system in Israel or the US can cope with,” and of course, following the official fairy tale, this threat is nuclear, never mind Israel and the United States combined have more nukes than any other nation on the planet and have expressed their avid desire to use them, explicitly against Iran.

Iran Must Get Ready to Repel a Nuclear Attack

25-01-2007 10:42

In the overall flow of information coming from the Middle East, there are increasingly frequent reports indicating that within several months from now the US will deliver nuclear strikes on Iran. For example, citing well-informed but undisclosed sources, the Kuwaiti Arab Times wrote that the US plans to launch a missile and bomb attack on the territory of Iran before the end of April, 2007. The campaign will start from the sea and will be supported by the Patriot missile defense systems in order to let the US forces avoid a ground operation and to reduce the efficiency of the return strike by “any Persian Gulf country”.

International Mobilization To Stop U.S. Attack on Iran

24-01-2007 17:18

Anyone, including those in Iranian political circles, who cherished the illusion that the Cheney-Bush cabal was not committed to a new war in Southwest Asia, has had to abandon such dreams in the wake of George W. Bush’s Jan. 10 speech on his “new” policy for Iraq. The so-called “surge” in troop strength for Iraq which Bush announced, was recognized, correctly, by all in the region, as a commitment to open a new war front, this time against Iran or Syria. This analysis, which EIR had been circulating for weeks, including during a visit to Tehran in late November-early December, was finally embraced as the correct reading.

US occupation turns 3.7 million Iraqis into refugees

24-01-2007 17:01

The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) reported this month that the US invasion and occupation of Iraq has forced one out of every eight Iraqis to flee their homes—more than 3.7 million people. The agency described the refugee crisis caused by the Iraq war as the worst in the Middle East since the ethnic cleansing that accompanied the creation of Israel in 1948. The Zionist military and paramilitary death squads drove an estimated 711,000 Palestinian Arabs from their land.

Moves Toward War with Iran: We Must Stop This

23-01-2007 05:41

"Once again, the public case for war is bogus. The CIA's best estimate is that Iran could not develop a nuclear weapon for another ten years, assuming it wants to. No evidence that Iran is providing support to Iraqi insurgents has been made public. And now it has been reconfirmed that Vice-President Dick Cheney dismissed an Iranian offer of peace in 2003, with the Iranians offering the same concessions that the White House now claims to be seeking."
