06-04-2011 11:28You invade Bahrain. We take out Muammar Gaddafi in Libya. This, in short, is the essence of a deal struck between the Barack Obama administration and the House of Saud. Two diplomatic sources at the United Nations independently confirmed that Washington, via Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, gave the go-ahead for Saudi Arabia to invade Bahrain and crush the pro-democracy movement in their neighbor in exchange for a "yes" vote by the Arab League for a no-fly zone over Libya - the main rationale that led to United Nations Security Council resolution 1973.

03-04-2011 13:40On Friday March 25, 2011 the Canadian House of Commons found Prime Minister Stephen Harper guilty of contempt of Parliament. According to parliamentary law, contempt of parliament is a federal crime of which SteveHarper has been found guilty.. Harper is barred from seeking re-election on May 2, 2011. Nevertheless warmonger media in Canada
and the discredited PM continue to campaign. No federal government or cabinet minister has ever been found in contempt before.
03-04-2011 11:45The Interim Transitional National Council (TNC) was not officially able to participate in the conference held on Libya at London’s Lancaster House on Tuesday due to differences within the war coalition over support for the anti-Gaddafi leadership. However, Washington and London made clear their backing for what is being groomed as Libya’s government-in-waiting—once, that is, the military onslaught against the country has achieved its desired objective of regime change.
03-04-2011 07:35MICHAEL'S IN THE DOCK FOR US, WE'RE ON THE LOOSE FOR HIM!
As was the case with Gulf War 1, more serious resistance to the present wars on Afghanistan and Iraq has come from within the military in the United States & Britain than from the anti-war movements in civil society. A culture of solidarity is not evident in either countries anti-war movements.
03-04-2011 00:31If you ask liberal talking heads like Ed Schultz and other Nattering Nabobs of Progressivism, who would support Dick Cheney if he was a Democrat, they'll tell you, "Well, this is a cheaper war, a Democrat war and besides, it's not a war."

This will hopefully be a chance for loads of people from across 'the Midlands' and beyond to come together and plan a summer of actions against the war machine culminating in DSEI in September.
28-03-2011 09:45Our M26 "No Cuts Day" started pretty well. We have a lot of "Free Bradley Manning" visuals left over from the U..S embassy gig last week & have them stored (if ya need to borrow them?) at our Bradley Manning shrine/ art installation at Giuseppe Conlon House (GCH). It displays and desciribes Brad's present prison conditions and daily routine, always could be improved if there's anyone out there is artistically inclined?
