Zippos Circus Campaign Continues

SARC activists are determined to keep the campaign going against Zippos for the duration of the time that they are in our town. It is not enough to show up a few times and then carry on with our lives. Those horses have no choice, they cannot leave their prison cells. We must defend them.

English slaughterhouses exposed

A pig who fell from the slaughter line is re-shackled and hoisted National campaigning group Animal Aid has today released footage taken secretly at three randomly chosen abattoirs, which offers an unprecedented close-up of the true inner workings of typical British slaughterhouses that kill pigs, sheep and cattle. The film convincingly disposes of the myth of stress- and pain-free ‘humane slaughter’. The 40 hours of footage shows more than 1,500 animals being stunned and more than 1,000 being killed. Animal Aid anticipates the revelations will provoke a plain-speaking debate involving consumers, politicians, regulators and the industry.

Sussex Police Plan for anti-protest Dispersal Order at EDO Factory

Now Sussex Police internal minutes from Jan 2009 reveal they plan an even stricter ban on protest activities at the factory with the use of an anti-social behaviour 'Disperal Order'.

Lesvos No Border camp is banging on the walls of fortress europe

Pagani concentration camp The No Border camp in Lesvos is scoring some real victories for the migrants who arrive here and are detained in horrific conditions in the infamous Pagani detention centre following the release of over two hundred migrants . We haven't closed this hellhole down but pressure is building . We want to force Greece to respect asylum rights and the free movement of migrants and to refuse its role as Europe's border guard and all terrible abuses and deaths of migrants that entails . Yesterday 22 refugees avoided having to be detained and are now at an open centre with decent living conditions.
