<< Page 188 | Page 186>>Wrongheaded UN vote on Syria: US-NATO "arm twisting" at the UN General Assembly
On February 4, Russia and China vetoed the Arab League's one-sided Syria resolution (SC/10536). It illegitimately called for Assad to step down.Under international law, no nation or combination thereof, may interfere in the internal affairs of others, except in self-defense if attacked.
Western pressure often gets nations to violate international law and their own non-intervention pledges. When they don't, Washington, rogue NATO partners, and complicit allies wage aggressive war on their own.
In 1999, without Security Council authorization, nonbelligerent Yugoslavia was lawlessly attacked and ravaged. Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya followed. Perhaps Syria's next, then Iran, no matter the threat to humanity.

John Catt’s Judicial Review of ACPO and the Met on 9th February 2012
A diverse range of ‘domestic extremists’, including comedian Mark Thomas, braved the cold on 9th February to greet and support John Catt at the start of his epic legal challenge against ACPO and the Met and their secret domestic extremist database. The air was brimming with excitement and some extremely domesticated “grime-busters”, with cleaning materials to the fore, soon set about giving the fatigued looking Royal Courts of Justice a deep clean and a breath of fresh air![Full Story | 4 comments ]

Syria: CIA-MI6 intel ops and sabotage
For anyone in two minds about what is really going on in Syria, and whether President Assad, hailed a decade ago as “A Modern Day Ataturk”, has become the latest megalomaniacal despot, to whose people a US-led posse of nations, must deliver “freedom”, with weapons of mass, home, people, nation and livelihood destruction, here is a salutary tale from modern history.[Full Story | 9 comments ]
