Activist targetted in latest arrest at EDO MBM
At a peaceful demonstration against Brighton arms company EDO MBM yesterday a protester was arrested and a sound system seized in the latest show of force by Sussex police. Police used an obscure council bylaw which has never been used in a prosecution to confiscate the equipment. Brighton Tubas Friendship and Solidarity Group Appeal for Funds
The Brighton Tubas Friendship and Solidarity Group
( http://tubas.brightonpalestine.org)
aims to create links between grassroots groups in Tubas, Palestine and
Brighton, UK. It was launched in 2005 and since then has worked with
diverse groups in Tubas and Brighton to create sustainable initiatives. A
delegation of 17 people from Brighton visited Tubas in March 2007. Since
then the University of Sussex student union has affiliated to Al Quds Open
University in Tubas and plans to provide scholarships for Palestinian
students.

Between the 22, 23 and 24 june 2007 in St.Denis, Paris, was held the
NATIONAL SOCIAL FORUM of the BANLIEUES. The event was attended by lots
of different local grassroot movements. Among the participants was Ahmad
Rahman member of the Black Panthers of Detroit and Cilius Victor member
of a Police watchdog in London against racial abuse.
Presenting a night of debate and movies about the event with invited
participants.
The event is supported by No Borders and Detainee Support group.

Cops Whitewash Complaint
